Bitcoin has better security than Ethereum. First, Bitcoin leverages script programming language with restricted functionality. This makes it almost impossible to exploit someone’s wallet using script. Contrary, Ethereum leverages multiple languages, including the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) that facilitate smart contracts. This flexibility makes it less secure. Secondly, Bitcoin lacks an account asset that can be exploited. On the other hand, Ethereum has account Ether value. People can do something with this value, making Ethereum less secure.
