Where can I see my transactions on a blockchain?

Asked 3 years ago

I have always heard that blockchain transactions are completely traceable, but I have no idea how anyone would be able to trace my transactions without having access to my wallet. Every time I receive ADA, it is to a different address. Every time I send ADA, it is from a different address. Using Cardano Explorer, I can look up each address that I have used, but there is no way to find out which addresses make up *my* wallet. And because of the way UTXO works, the inputs and outputs are often multiple addresses, even if I am using only one wallet and doing only one transaction. So if someone wanted to figure out what ADA I had sent to where, how would they tie together all of the random addresses used? Is there some way to prove that all randomly generated addresses are from the same wallet?

Since the blockchain is public, every address, every transaction, and every block is traceable, as it's permanently written on the blockchain. Sure, there's no personal details behind the blockchain public address, but there's always a way that the assets on an address can be traced to a person.

Let's say you have 10 Cardano wallets and use different ones for different situations. However, there will be a moment where you will spend your ADA coins (for example - exchanging them on a crypto platform like Coinbase). All crypto exchanges nowadays have made the KYC procedure mandatory, so there's usually a way to trace the coins on the blockchain to a legal entity (unless you never spend them and they permanently remain on YOUR address).
