Who all developed Bitcoin?

The question as to who the original developer and creator of Bitcoin is remains a controversy. Over the years it has become common in the media and research community to point fingers at the most intelligent cryptographers, developers and mathematicians. The hardest part is that all suspects including Hal Finney, mentioned in this question, have outrightly denied being Satoshi Nakamoto or the original creator of Bitcoin. The only person that has admitted being involved, and infact being the anonymous person or persons known as Satoshi Nakamoto is the Australian computer scientist Criag Wright. Although the best connection between creating Bitcoin and Wright is that he admits it which is why researches and the media are still not convinced about Wright's claim. Some researchers have dismissed Wright, as a scammer whose claims are at best hoax.

The only thing we can say for sure is that Satoshi left the development of Bitcoin in the hands of Gavin Andresen after his departure in 2012. Suspects in what we may call a good cryptic crime include John McAfee, Dan Kaminsky, Vili Lehdonvitra, Nick Szabo, Elon Musk, Hal Finney, Schinichi Mochizuki, Ross Ulbritch, and Dorian Nakamoto who mistakenly admitted to creating Bitcoin and seem like the prime suspect according to popular commentary. Some say Dorian's denial said a lot about his actual involvement and that he could truly be Satoshi Nakamoto. Some people on this list like John McAfee admitted to knowing who Satoshi was but never said anything.

Hal Finney was in the mailing list of the anonymous Satoshi Nakamoto and received mails from the same alongside other developers until Satoshi suddenly disappeared. Ever since, other developers have been contributing to the Bitcoin codebase.
