Do you think DeFi will replace TradFi?
Asked 3 years ago
Hi guys. I'm looking for opinions as I am not for or against either - but I've been thinking about whether or not DeFi has the potential to replace TradFi. Or can the two simply co-exist?

Even though DeFi has been touted as a replacement for traditional finance for a long time, both sections of the industry will eventually co-exist and they are already doing so with the likes of PayPal, Visa, and the others.
The only thing to note is that TradFi or traditional finance will absorb most of the innovations currently being developed by crypto/blockchain projects and vice versa. It will be the case that some crypto companies may buy and takeover traditional financial institutions and businesses, just like some TradFi institutions will buy and takeover some crypto companies.
The latter will be more popular since TradFi has existed longer than most crypto and blockchain companies but the mergers will mostly change alot of things from the way they are done in TradFi to the new ways of DeFi.
