Can anyone make an NFT?
Asked 4 years ago
Hello there. I am an artist, and I've been told I should look into creating NFTs for a possible extra income stream. But I am totally new to this entire concept, and I'm not really sure how this works. What gives an NFT value, and who determines its value of it? And where would I even begin to upload my own creations?

Yes, anyone can create an NFT as long as they have a crypto wallet (usually either Ethereum or Solana). NFTs don't have inherent value - instead, their value is derived by the market (supply and demand). In your case, the price of your NFT will be determined by how much people are ready to pay for it.
Regarding your starting point, I would recommend going with a reputable NFT platform like OpenSea or Rarible. After you connect your wallet to the platform, you can instantly start uploading NFTs and listing them for sale.
