How can blockchain improve the point of sale system?
Asked 4 years ago
I noticed something that said a blockchain could improve the traditional POS system. But how? It's not decentralized finance, nor is it crypto?

Blockchain can improve the point of sale (POS) system by enabling data storage on distributed ledgers transparently and immutably, facilitating crypto payments and quick audits. All POS parties like suppliers, traders, and regulators will access immutable data, increasing their trust. Payments are made automatically from customers’ wallets when they place orders and are promptly transferred to the other parties’ wallets. Since these transactions are saved on the blockchain, they facilitate quick audits.
