A DeFi protocol is an autonomous program that solves some of the conventional drawbacks in traditional finance. DeFi protocols comprise specified rules, streamlining the governance of specific tasks. Currently, Aave is the best DeFi lending protocol to consider. The AAVE token is the native currency of Aave. The token supports the Aave protocol security, and users must hold it to participate in making governance decisions.
