Should my leverage factor and trading time frame correlate?
Asked 3 years ago
I started crypto margin trading, and I'm not really sure if the length of my trade would impact the amount of leverage I decide to use and how it would affect the amount of risk I would be taking.

It depends on the trading strategy you have in mind. If you're scalping (I assume that you're scalping with high leverage), then it's highly recommended that you stick to the lower timeframes - like 1min, 5min, or 15mins. On the other hand, if you open positions and hold them for a longer period of time (maybe a couple of days/weeks), then your leverage should be on the short side, and the chart should be with a longer timeframe.
