Are there any challenges to decentralized governance?
Asked 4 years ago
Decentralized governance sounds like an ideal form of governance that has the potential to work in most countries. What I want to know is what causes it not to work. What are the challenges, if any, to decentralized governance?

The first challenge of decentralized governance is that developers can’t guarantee the total security of their projects. The codes can contain bugs that hackers can exploit, like the 2016 Ethereum DAO hack. Still, some selfish individuals can conceal a fraudulent project. Secondly, although a decentralized approach to organizing projects minimizes the probability of public conspiracy, it doesn’t wholly eradicate such risks. Lastly, it can take a long time to decide on project development in decentralized governance. Additionally, decentralized systems lack critical thinking, meaning in times of crisis or non-standard scenarios, the users cannot manage the project well.
