Who is most likely to be Satoshi Nakamoto?
Asked 4 years ago
So, I've been reading articles and posts about the creator of Bitcoin, and some people say that Satoshi Nakamoto is Craig Wright, while others say it's Benjamin Franklin. Who do you think it is?

Satoshi Nakamoto can be anybody. The moniker Satoshi Nakamoto could represent an individual or a group of people. The mystery behind this pseudonym has been one of the hottest debated topics in the crypto space.
One can argue that there are some good prospects regarding who Satoshi may be. Craig Wright and Nick Szabo come to mind, but none of these people can actually verify they are Satoshi.
Some believe the anonymous nature of Satoshi Nakamoto was helpful to the rise of Bitcoin and helped improve trust in the protocol. Regardless, the important question to ask is, is the unveiling of the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto necessary?
Looking at the tremendous success of Bitcoin since its creation, it is apt to reason that whoever Satoshi Nakamoto is, doesn't really matter anymore. The idea of Bitcoin is to remove power from centralized authorities or individuals and create code people can trust in the form of digital censorship-resistant money.
Satoshi's facelessness may be discomforting for those used to seeing founders they can criticize or adore. However, it is a testament to the fact that anybody is capable of making significant change even from the confines of anonymity.
